Announcements
Colorado West Ophthalmology is excited to announce the planning of a new Montrose office. We have outgrown our present facility and need more space to expand our services and help decrease the congestion around our present site. The new office will be located on the corner of East Pavilion Drive and Niagra directly across from the Montrose Pavilion. The new facility will include room for multiple physicians and will also incorporate Alpine Optical. Groundbreaking should be in the spring or summer of 2001.
The GDX analyzer has arrived. Our office staff will be having an in-service the end of this month. We should be up and running and have this test available to our patients in February. We are excited to have the opportunity to provide this new glaucoma test to our patients
The GDX nerve fiber analyzer is a new test for glaucoma. This test uses a laser to measure the thickness of the nerve fiber layer around the optic nerve. This test may be more sensitive in picking up early changes in the nerve fiber layer before changes are noticeable on visual field testing.
